Excellent entry in the Maugham anthology series presents three entertaining tales; the second featuring Walsh as a hilariously chattering and gossipy cruise passenger is arguably the best, though Patrick is great fun as a snide relative in part 1, and Johns' portrait of a high-dive artist in part 3 is very poignant and moving (and quite different in tone from the earlier episodes).

Following Quartet (1948) and Trio (1950), comes more excellent short stories from W. Somerset Maugham in the form of a Encore (1951). Wasn't so much a fan of the middle one, but the first and the last one, added with that stunt to close it, was a real good time. Three brief and too the point stories with that good old British wit.
