Pretty much a perfect romantic comedy. The setup takes a backseat to the naturally funny characters and the intelligent script. There aren't any wacky over the top comedy relief characters. Instead the humor oozes out through the relatable details and the great performances. Dreyfus is beautiful, charming and hilarious, and Gandolfini is the gentle giant that you can't help but love. Most of all I like how the script avoids many rom com cliches, instead staying fairly low key and realistic.

Hard to go wrong with this cast and director. Saw it too long ago to give it a worthwhile, proper review, but I remember some real chemistry with the leads and thinking that if Gandolfini had to go out, at least he went out on a high note, doing quality work in a film he could be proud of. Which is alot more than Raul Julia ("Street Fighter") can say.

It's a testament to the quality of the acting and the writing that the entire film doesn't collapse as a result of the fact that the story's central conflict is based on Dreyfus's character making a choice so preposterous and sitcom-y, it not only seems implausible, but makes you briefly think you're watching her play Elaine on Seinfeld again. Other than that, Holofcener's attempt to create a rom-com with three-dimensional adults for adults works on every level. Refreshing, sweet & absorbing.

It's nice to see a comedy made for adults. Acting and writing are great, it can be quite funny, and has solid story lines revolving around parenting (empty nest syndrome) and romantic relationships for middle aged people.

Julia Louis-Dreyfus puts in an award-winning warm and natural performance in this mature indie romance, and it's her spot-on chemistry with the rest of the cast (particularly the equally-impressive Gandolfini) that makes this movie. It won't knock you down with its originality, and doesn't contain enough drama or spark in the script to stand out as anything special (in fact the plot hinges on very uncharacteristic behaviour from JL-F's lead), but for what it is it's an enjoyable watch.

Julia Louis-Dreyfus has been playing the same character that I don't like since Seinfeld. To her credit, she hasn't changed one bit since then. I liked the character Gondolfini created here. It was a low-tone, calm movie. The main thing that stands out about it was its sincerity. Since I'm not middle-aged most of it must have washed over me, but I felt that what it said was definitely heart-felt.

The may have been Gandolfini's last appearance, but Julia Louis-Dreyfus steals the show. If not for her script-lifting, screen-commanding performance, this would have been a complete dud.

Leads that are always solid, nice little indie. Moral of the story: Don't talk to ex's of your current

The story goes nowhere unexpected, but "Enough Said" is such a genuine, unassuming and likable movie it more than makes up for its predictability in other areas. Gandolfini and Louis-Dreyfus are both excellent, getting the most from a sharp, funny script, and the characters are well-rounded believeable entities. I can't say there was much of an emotional connection for me personally, but this is a charming grown-up rom-com.

Nothing groundbreaking here, but so breezy, enjoyable and quietly funny that it's hard not to like this thing. JLD and Gandolfini are fantastic together; their chemistry is so natural and believable. There's some silliness in the film - some of the banter is too bantery for its own good - but it touches on some real issues with a sweetness that's very compelling.

I had to see this film in theaters twice. The joy I felt in just soaking up the time and space its main characters share with me was that keen. I love hobbits, wizards, and dragons as much as anyone, but give me also the movie where realistic characters are given unusual but believable situations and then deal with those situation the way real people would, and then let them speak and move in those situations the way real people do, and you've got me. This is a wonderful movie.

Very calm and lighthearted. Felt very, very real throughout and wasn't bogged down by rom-com cliches.

Very well written dialogue, and Dreyfus + Gandolfini make an awesomely "real" on-screen couple. Touching insights on the awkwardness of mature relationships, btw.

Enough Said completely surprised me and I thought it was an enjoyable and pleasing watch. I knew absolutely nothing about this film and I watched it purely because it starred the late James Gandolfini. Im a big fan of his and he gives such an effortlessly real and human performance here. Julie Louis-Dreyfus is impressive also and the chemistry between the pair is likeable and fun. Tonally the relationships and humour reminded me very much of 'Crazy, Stupid, Love'. And this is just as good.
