I thought Cary Grant was a kept man for about half the movie. The story is simple, but it's not told very well and lacks passion.

Whoever did Elissa Landi's curly hair should be shot. It totally killed her personality. Instead of looking like a European beauty, she looked like a strange old lady and not a match for the dashing Cary Grant. It's one of those rare instances where one can sense Grant lying when proclaiming his love for her being unable to disguise it with his usual acting charm. No chemistry and the whole twist was off. One of the worst Cary Grant performances you'll see.
