Nothing short of awful. I laughed at about 2 of the hundreds of jokes that were machine gunned out during the course of the film. Most of them are not only awful but dragged out to the point of being embarassingly awkward. I honestly don't know how anyone can possibly find this worthwhile amount of time.

Quite easily the joint worst film of all time. Although Epic Movie throws quantity over quality, it somehow fails to come up with even one funny joke among hundreds. The worst thing is that Seltzer and Friedberg seem to think that they are doing a decent job while making a parody film with more similarities with a smacked arse than any of the films that are supposedly being stupidified. The only slightly redeeming aspect is that Tony Cox is decent among a cast with IQ scores in single figures.

One of the worst "comedies" of all time, this movie actually made me angry. There is nothing more offensive than bad comedy, and this is the worst. You feel insulted just by watching this tripe, however, I give it five points simply for the fact that by a sheer miracle the director managed to put it on film. It really doesn't go any lower than that.

This is not a movie, this is an insult to everyone who loves movies and everyone who has ever tried to get their own movie made. The fact that this got made while millions of great ideas have never come to fruition is offensive to me and the fact that the film industry allowed it to happen honestly makes my flesh crawl. I give it a zero because it has NOTHING that is required of a movie, it is like asking someone for an essay and receiving finger-paint. Fuck Aaron Seltzer, fuck Jason Friedberg.

Someone recently proposed to film critic Mark Kermode that films can not only have no laughs in them at all, but can also produce a negative amount of laughs. This is a film of that sort. A starving Ethiopian kid with no arms or legs could produce a funnier script.

Another installment of the "Movie" series. It's hard to view it as a parody as it does nothing more than take an entire scene out of a film, and reenact it...usually with the addition of a feces and/or sex joke. If you want to see a parody, watch Young Frankenstein, it's much more entertaining.

I saw this in theatres with a firend, and the theatre was completely empty. The only saving grace this film had for me was that we could be as loud and obnoxious as we wanted. Without that, this movie would get a zero. The plot was terrible, and the spoof elements were not mixed well at all. Also, the humor was stagnant, to the point where it was funnier to make fun of the movie than to actually try and figure out where they expected us to laugh.

Even though I lost interest and didn't finish watching it, I admit I did laugh at a few -a very few- silly jokes, mostly at the references. Other than that, it's just unbelievably sophomoric (or should I say believably? after all, I pretty much knew what the outcome would be.) Some of the sets and costumes were well-thought out, too.

Judged on the sliding scale of the post-Nielsen spoofs, this is far from the worst it gets, with a few gags getting some fleeting sniggers – Coolidge and Willard throw everything they have at trying to mine laughs from the material they are handed, and some of the celebrity impressions are accurate enough to appreciate the cleverness of the performer (Hammond’s “Captain Swallows” is a stand-out). Pretty dire though, especially when comparing to the peak Nielsen films (or even the SCARY MOVIEs).

This should by all rights be the worst satire movie ever made, but Friedberg and Seltzer somehow got even worse after this movie (see Disaster Movie... or rather, don't). I think I remember laughing at something Jack Swallows did. And I think that was the only time.
