Eraserhead Stories

Listening to Lynch talk about Eraserhead is an absolutely fascinating experience. Although he focuses more on the making of the film than on explanations about the film itself, this never fails to be insightful and entertaining.

It doesn't give away all the secrets to the film (like what it's all about and how he made that foetus, which we're still trying to figure out), but we get glimpses (some visual, some through story) to the very DIY production of a remarkable film. The constant B&W and industrial winds only accentuate the creepiness of it all.

Inessential but entertaining. His usual humble self, Lynch shares many anecdotes about the team effort that created a cult classic. Lovely.
