Classic escape thriller. Could possibly have been done with more suspense, but I did find that the protagonist was a ex-fascist escaping to avoid punishment for his part in the war a interesting one. Gives the story a extra moral layer. And it was otherwise a fine journey through nature and mountains. I liked this underexposed Italian film.
