Escape to Witch Mountain

Classic kids movie whose biggest downfall is that kids these days are generally off-put by movies that simply look old. It's got Milland and Pleasance in it, but most unretired people don't even know who those guys are anymore. I hesitate to call it dated because it hasn't lost any entertainment value and its merit is intact, yet it looks as old as it is, and now that kids movies are dominated by CG, an old live action kids movie is viewed as defective.

Who knew Eddie Albert and Dwayne Johnson were so interchangeable? Looking forward to seeing the Rock as a former pro wrestler turned farmer in a Green Acres reboot.

No witches or mountains, but does contain escaping.

This is a family movie that doesn't play down to kids. It's intelligent without being overly cerebral.

If you're after something slightly different and packed full of the less sentimental Disneyesque charm then this is one for you.

Gonna need to rewatch and maybe rerate this.

I have a lot of fun memories with this movie from when I was younger. It's weird, which makes it good, but looking back it's not the greatest movie.

My LORD what an awesome movie. As a kid I fell in love with it, so awesome :).

A chase movie for kids with a sci-fi element thrown in. Had fond memories of it when I was young, but it's barely passable today. The telekinetic puppet-dancing scene will haunt your dreams if you watch it now.

Silly Disney film good for kids.

Great for kids, great for adults to sit around and make fun of. Not a great movie, though.

I loved this film as a kid, and can still enjoy it today.

I know I shouldn't be expecting much here on the basis that this is a kids movie, and you know, kids will like anything (a line of reasoning I despise). But the out of nowhere ending struck me as the writers having written themselves into a corner, and took the most ludicrous way out they could find.
