A charming film which captures a portrait of typical lives of that generation who lived through WW2 and all the social changes which came in the decades after. A time when a milkman's income could buy you a house in London with enough left to raise a child. The narration is fairly objective with its portrayal of wartime hardships, and it's only at the end, when dementia and illness strike, that it becomes emotionally affecting. A lovely, personal document of mid-20th century Britain.

An earnest animation following the life of a unspectacular married couple from their days of courting to the year they both died.... a tribute from their son. From the heart at least.

A surprisingly humanist look at how passing time leaves us behind and how lifelong love manifests in subtle ways.

A movie that shows that an ordinary life with all the ups and down that come with that, can be just as touching and interesting as any big eventful or fantastic stories people can dream up. Trying to cram up a whole lifetime in just 94 minutes does make it very episodic in nature.
