"Every Night at Eight" lacks any punch on any front. The love story, the singing, and the music are below average—nothing to see here.

One of many radio movies made in the 1930s. Centers around the trio of Alice Faye, Patsy Kelly and making her feature film debut, Frances Langford! George Raft takes them under his wing and makes then a success on the air. Apart from them there are several guest performers. Langford gets a few solo numbers with the melancholic "Then You've Never Been Blue" being a winning moment! The story feels more disjointed then usual, but they pushed Langford well in her toned down big role.
