Evil Bong

Dude...what the hell was I smoking when I thought it would be a good idea to spend this quarantined 4/20 by watching the entire "Evil Bong" series? Despite my better senses, I packed a bowl and strapped in for what I exacted to be some cheap, dumb, "stoner" horror/comedy B-movie trash. While I set my expectations low enough that, at the very least, with some herbal assistance this Charles Band production should produce a few laughs. Despite that, most of this lazy movie is just a chore to watch.

There are a number of Full Moon movies that redeem their shamelessly low budget productions with a touch of sincerity, but more often, like here, they're so unabashedly bad that by watching it I feel like I'm being taken advantage of. Everyone here was having so little fun, and giving so little effort that not even the boobs can make me forget that I, the viewer, was the one being exploited.

Full Moon cameos, tits, ganja and Tommy Chong -- yet it still fails miserably. It's fun, sure, but it's terribly stupid and either the dialogue is purposely cheesy or August White has never hung around a stoner in his life.

Looks, feels, sounds and smells terrible. Every other sentence has a 'man', 'dude' or 'brah'. While it's fun seeing Chong with a chainsaw and boy those ladies sure were naked, there really is not much else that ain't terrible and incompetent.

There's a few gems here in the rough, but you have to fast forward to get to 'em. Not much to recommend beyond a lot of boobs and Chong; who's part is only slightly more substantial than the assumed cameo.

I can't hate this movie. My friends and I had a fun time watching it. But I would never watch it again. It's cameo central for full moon characters no one cares about. How pumped was I supposed to get seeing the gingerdead man in this movie?

Terrible. The whole movie was just a way to get Tommy Chong on-screen to say "man" and talk about weed. This movie appeals to the type of people who watch every movie to ever talk about weed ever and make it their college dissertation. I chucked a couple of times but that won't ever equal the time spent watching this movie.

As shitty as this was at least there seemed to be a semblance of effort put in, especially compared to the rest of the series I've seen.

Monkey! God...fuckin'...awful. And why did the Bong continuously bring the people she was going to kill to a strip club? Even the chicks?! And why were the stripper's boobs mouths at first? And why o' why did they come back to life at the end? It would have been so much better had they stayed dead. Whoops...spoilers! =O

I mean, this film is terrible. It is supposed to be terrible, having been brought to us by the same minds behind The Gingerdead Man, so there isn't really even a point in writing a review. I got some giggles, and I like seeing Tommy Chong in anything, so there you go. If you have a bunch of friends over or a party or something and you want to get high and kick back, Evil Bong is recommendable. If you don't want to see this, don't watch it. Simple as that.

WHAT WAS THE POINT IN MAKING THIS MOVIE?!?!?!

If you think this movie was made by "stupid stoners", you'd only be half wrong. I think these people were just plain morons because if they can't figure out how a bong works, there is no way they could possibly be stoners. How the hell did this warrant SEVEN sequels????
