Evil Town

Not completely terrible per se, but definitely a forgettable direct to video horror. Everyone gets kidnapped rather easily after camping in the dark at the same spot in a town they're not familiar with. Jillian Kesner in a totally inappropriate head nurse outfit. Watched comparison with Evils of the Night and it's basically the same movie. Got a lot of mileage out of the Playmate and the one theme song. Fav scene: punching out old people.

This stinks of a patchwork: 70's material was quite dry suspense in the vein of "Stepford Wives" while 80's additions contain gratuitous nudity and strongly resembled "Evils of the Night". No real effort was made to make the footage work together and it's easy to spot which is which from the wardrobe etc. It barely reaches the feature length, and it's quite a painless watch but it won't leave any lasting impression. Mainly interesting for Curtis Hanson fans due to his uncredited direction.
