Watching cheesy Italian knock-off sci-fi flicks makes it really easy to forget that these are the same kind of people with the same kind of aims who made spaghetti westerns and giallo horror. They've all tried to compete with Hollywood type movies in their home country, yet doing so extremely cheaply and often with amazing success. For anyone wondering, here's what happens when your Italian knock-off director doesn't have an ounce of the inexplicable talent of Argento, Leone, or Fulci

If I hear the word 'mothergrubber' one more time, I'm going to tie a handicapped kid to my motorcycle and drag him around southern California until he remembers he has a gerbil in his pocket. Post-apocalyptic Protip: A single truckload of water isn't going to save your civilization.

Corny flick about a couple of scruffy scavengers and a kid with a bionic arm who team up to find some water in a post apocalyptic wasteland. There's a chick with these cool metal claws that keeps punching people to death, and the lead bad guy is a psycho raider called Crazy Bull who says stuff like "Into the breach once more, you mothergrubbers! Let's purloin that water!" It's amazing how they managed to keep so many 1970's muscle cars running until the year 3000. Check your brain at the door.
