Fack ju Göhte

Auch wenn die Handlung leider sehr vorhersehbar ist (typisch deutsche Komödie), finde ich den Film doch sehr kurzweilig und witzig.

It has it funny moments but overall rather predictable.

Combine your typical guy-gets-girl-but-not-the-way-he-expected rom-com with your typical lowest-of-the-low gross-out slapstick comedy, I guess you have a hit on your hands. If this calamity works at all I guess it's thanks to looks, charisma, and extremely childish plot devices, rather than intelligence or making any sense. The kind of movie we should all campaign to have destroyed, but I've watched it, and is it wrong to have found it a slight bit of a guilty pleasure?

Elyas M'Barek, le show. Cette bombe allemande écrase tout sur son passage, et tout le monde en prend pour son grade. La nonchalance du personnage fait tout le charme du film, surtout à côté d'une Cendrillon écolo, et politiquement correct (Karoline Herfurth). Mention toute particulière au charisme de Katja Riemann.

I am pleasantly surprised that German people can also make a movie like this.

I have no problem with the movie itself. It knows what it is and doesn't pretend to be more. The script, the editing, the score, the performances: it's all got "for retarded people with zero attention span" (and those who like to make fun of them) written all over it. Some of it even works, if only by accident. My major issue is that this takes the cake with audiences over infinitely better movies, resulting in two sequels, more probably on the way. And what are we supposed to gather from that?

113 Minutes x 7 million viewers in Germany = 13183333,3 hours, in which this country got a bit more stupid and tasteless.
