A brave movie in a way. A bit melodramatic, but that's natural in a story like this where a rich girl goes from being a high spending party girl to feeling the effects of the depression. And being a precode movie they didn't sugarcoat it either, which is one of it's strengths. The real shining light in Faithless is Tallulah Bankhead! She makes a great transition from riches to rags with the "I can't work! I don't know how!" realization. Tallulah Bankhead is quite simple spectacular!
