A fun simple mystery noir. Nothing all that special but it hits the spot with some twists and tension and fast pacing.

Simple but solid mystery. A guy wakes up after a night of partying and finds a dead woman next to him. Is he the murderer or is he someone else's FALL GUY???

While a little clumsy in executing them, Fall Guy (1947) has some good ideas, which is why it's a entertaining little mystery coming through Monogram Pictures. Got veteran tough guy Robert Armstrong investigating Leo Penn's hangover memory of a dead body, which gets them in a few interesting situations. Not always great, but when it was onto something it had my attention.
