The scene in the picture contains most of the film's interest.

Not bad, and a just barely good film overall, but thus far I prefer Guy's simpler and less narrative-heavy films. This has a few moments of lyricism that are quite good, especially the garden scene, which is also the film's emotional center. It also possesses a sympathetic main character in the form of the little sister, but much of the film's short run feels stuffy and unmemorable.

A few cute scenes but mostly inconsequential.

A decent enough sentimental drama from Alice Guy's American period, of the same sappy sort that Griffith was churning out by the dozens at the time.

Will unfortunately be one of those short films that I forget about. It's not bad and historically it's important (first female director), but it's simple story about a little girl hoping her sister gets a cure for tuberculosis is not nothing special.

There's one brilliant scene in this, the little girl in the garden tying leaves to trees while hundreds of leaves fall around her. That scene alone deserves a much richer ending than the movie gives it.
