Started out fine, but lacked something once things got shaking to make it a memorable Hopalong Cassidy. Probable the most stand-out thing was Will Rogers' son Jimmy Rogers taking over the role of the young one of the team. The unknowns they'd cast after Russell Hayden quit had all pretty much failed to fill his shoes. Unfortunately the same can be said about the legendary comedian's son. Didn't have the looks and not the gift of wit like his pa.
