A bunch of nonsense over nice time lapses of mushrooms growing.

Its heart is at the right place, I think. Though at times it does feel more like a celebration of Paul Stamets, than a documentary about fungi. It also doesn't go deep enough to really make an educational impact. Many outlandish claims are made, but never truly backed up by science, though they are presented in a way that might make the viewer think it's scientific. That's problematic. What this documentary does very well is the visuals and the music, connecting with your emotions. Recommended.

This is an infomercial for Stamets, who while lovable, is somewhat deranged. This doesn't mean he's not doing a good thing.

I liked the pretty time lapses, but a lot of the commentary seemed like a bunch of BS.

Came for the incredible time-lapse photography. Stayed for the warm-hearted experimental hippy-inspired therapeutic uses, and insights into spiritual interconnectedness. Not mush-room for anything else!

As a documentary this is pretty unimpressive, but it's full of fantastic macro and time-lapse footage of mushrooms. If someone were to edit this down to a 15 minute cut with nothing but the mushroom footage it would be great.

A bit thin and verges into advertising for Stamets' products, but the time-lapse photography of mushrooms is pretty neat. Inspired in me some mild ecological sentiment.

A bunch of people telling you cool facts about mushrooms, not particularly scientific, and repetitive cgi, but it was ok

Why mushrooms are so important in our life? Did humanity develop from eating magic mushrooms, aka Stoned Ape Theory? Would magic mushrooms cure cancer? Beautifully made but sometimes feels like an ad campaign for the main character and his mushroom company.
