Father Goose

A dreary comedy. I think this was supposed to be Cary Grant's "African Queen," but the direction is poor and Grant hams it up too much.

if there was either a better romance or none at all it could be a better movie. Grant&Caron battle in an odd couple routine until abruptly they're a happy couple together forever.could almost imagine a version where they reconcile their differences, learn about themselves from each other, then decide that being trapped on an island as the only adults is no reason to get married especially with their very disparate personalities and remain lifelong friends having shared this wartime experience.

Fun cast, lukewarm story, still entertaining.

This is your average family film. Not too fancy, not too dreadful. A film that you wouldn't miss anything if you don't watch it, yet would have fun if you do. Overall, it's poor man's African Queen, the backstory (WWII) is redundant either.

fantastic movie, loved the chemistry between the two main characters.

The humor in this film is very low key and subtle.The chemistry between Cary Grant and Leslie Caron is very good.There interactions with the girls was wonderful and added so much to this film.

Quite funny.
