Fear No Evil

Ridiculously, beatifically, inconsistent: it's a Trinitarian vision of Highlander, The Prophecy, and Buffy the Vampire Slayer as prophesied in the Book of Ezekiel, with extreme homoeroticism and a Ramones soundtrack. There are parts that are theologically very sound, before it then pivots with angelic reincarnation or a satanic high school dodgeball game. Basically, it's everything I want in my B-movie shit.

Frank LaLoggia makes his directorial debut with this Satanic 80's horror B-movie. The slow melodramatic build can be enjoyed for the few memorable parts like the dodgeball game, the homoerotic shower scene, or the surprisingly good soundtrack. However, the final payoff beginning with the "Passion of the Christ" performance at the beach led to some wonderful campy zombie filled main event caliber Lucifer vs. Archangels schlock. Maybe a fun watch if you like low-rent horror.

Some of this movie works, too much of it doesn't. When it tries to be a serious horror movie it's good, the campy elements don't jive with the rest of the movie.

A Classe do Demônio estreava há 40 anos nos EUA. Não é tão ruim quanto achei que fosse, inclusive é bem decente nos primeiros dois terços, só perde a mão quando tenta parecer grandiloquente com a encenação de Cristo e zumbis, aí não, né. O que me deixou boquiaberta foi a trilha sonora, acho que eles não pagaram os direitos das músicas, não, rá! BlurayRip RARBG.

I simply cannot dislike a weirdly Catholic and homoerotic horror film with a fun punk rock soundtrack, no matter how poorly executed it may be.
