The city was looted for three days after the conquest. Despite all the inaccuracy, irrelevant scenes scattered all around, all the absurdness, I still find it hard to dismiss the movie completely. I grimaced many times but at least I didnt get bored and I do appreciate the effort. A milestone for Turkish cinema if it is nothing else.

Tarihle ilgili bir film cekerken tipki savas sirasinda oldugu gibi dusmana saygi duymak zorundasin. Duymuyorsan ve gozlerin yesil paraciklardan baska bir sey gormuyorsa tipki bu filmin yonetmeni ve yapimcisi olan Faruk Aksoy gibi boyle bir ''film'' yapabilirsin. Bunu asiri milliyetci bir Turk olarak ben dusunuyor ve hissediyorsam vay diger ''beyni ve bilgisi olan'' ecnebilerin haline.

Ecnebiler de maşallah, 20lerde puanlamış... Çekimler, kurgu vs bir yana dursun da, zorlarına gitmiş belli ki... Neyse, benim puanım 85 kanka.

Lumbering, convoluted depiction of the political machinations of the battle drag film out far too long, but it’s difficult not to be swept up in the bloody, brutal (but undeniably thrilling) battle scenes, which are genuinely well-crafted and well staged and performances forceful and charismatic enough to carry the day. Captures the sweep and majesty of a vintage Hollywood epic at times; if the moments in between weren’t so lumpy, this could have tilted at greatness.

Babannemle Kartal Vizyon Sinemasi'nda izlemistik.

Many things are hyperbolic about war.In the real world,anything is complate good or bad.But in this film Byzantine is bad and Ottaman is good.It like cartoon.It's not realistic.Acting is average.But some scene it was very bad for this budget.I thing,the film must be more equal about Ottoman and Byzantine.

Even the Total War video game series was better than the visual effects of this terrible movie.

Worst movie that a humanbeing could ever witness.

istanbul, fetih, bizans, papalik, cenova, sehzade orhan, düello (filmin en gereksiz sahnesiydi) bir kac gereksiz sahne (ulubatli era iliskisi ve buna bagli sahneler) disinda iyi film.

Olaya eklenen filmlik durumlar var ask hikayesi ve ask rekabeti gibi, bu cok da namussuzca bir hamle degil ama kuvvetlendirmiyor. Gereksiz birkac intihar saldirisi ve zina eden bir Ulubatli Hasan da kendi anlatmaya calistiklari temiz ve sanli fetihle celismekte, gormemeleri garip :)
