Ma and Pa Kettle resort to kidnapping and soliciting their daughter to win a race. The movie is not funny but, O'Connor does deliver on one dance number.

Utter nonsense, which was something Donald O'Connor was good at. Helped greatly by Ma and Pa Kettle in a movie Marjorie Main & Percy Kilbride wasn't Ma and Pa Kettle. But it did mean a rural comedy which doesn't make much sense, but brought the humorous scenarios where they were Feudin', Fussin' and A-Fightin' (1948), but mostly just clowning around.
