Pretty standard '50s monster movie, at least until the last 15 minutes when we finally get to see the brain monsters. They don't disappoint, with some good effects and a surprising amount of gore for the time. Worth a watch if you're into this kind of thing.

A film that starts slowly, builds to some atmospheric and creepy moments, and ends with the most insane climax imaginable.

Solid horror flick about the dangers of science with surprisingly gruesome monsters for the 50s. Does a good job of cutting out a lot of the fat.

Well-remembered monster flick. Talky and dull for its first two-thirds, this kicks into high gear in a big way when the monsters suddenly materialize and lay siege to a boarded-up house _Night of the Living Dead_-style, with outrageous FX (filmed on the cheap in Austria) and surprising blasts of gore. Shot in England but set in Canada, a remake has been rumored for years and would most certainly be welcome.

A film so goofy it transcends goofiness to real meaning. Aptly describes the paranoia of the nuclear arms race era, with its invisible, intellect-sucking atomic monsters. One of my favorite camp classics.

starts very slowly but gets more and more fun when we start seeing the stop motion brains with spinal column tails:)

Rather silly, and with crude special effects, but what the heck - it's a monster movie where people's brains are sucked out! I can't complain too much because I knew what I was getting into.

The majority of this is nothing spectacular in the grand scheme of 50s B flicks, but it's one of the tighter and more entertaining examples of the schlock of the period. The concept is interesting (if clunkily delivered through flashback), and when the film finally gets round to revealing the creatures, it goes full hog with a charming army of stop-motion brains laying siege. Well worth it for the final act alone (if you're into that sort of thing).

Silly Sci-Fi horror, but pretty fun. The acting and production values aren't great, but they're at least reasonably ok for this kind of film.

The movie itself is pretty stupid but the look of the creatures and the stop motion was great.

The last ten minutes are somewhat enjoyable in that "so bad it's good" way, but the rest of it is just bad. Dumb story with gigantic plotholes, nonsense "science" that makes contemporary abominations like The Core look plausible, pathetic special effects (even for its time), limp acting, stock characters, and lousy sets. Also, a lot of it is ripped off (poorly) from Forbidden Planet. Kind of fun, but only because it's not long enough to get unbearable.

One of the most outright silly B movies of its time with one of the outright coolest creature designs maybe ever. The plot & backstory behind the brain aliens is utter nonsense, but it's played hilariously straight the entire time & the idea itself is pretty cool- even if also really stupid. The creatures themselves look good on screen, the cast is solid, & Kim Parker's character is fairly competent for the time. The message is corny, as is to be expected. All said, a nice slice of cheese.

Enjoyable and solid in a late fifties sort of way. Good that the fiend is invisible, of course the real fiend is MAN!!
