Finch was such a moron. I hated his stupid moron guts. Fuck Jeff, too.

I feel like I've seen Finch before; an abandoned post-apocalyptic America (I am Legend, etc...); a man & his dog (A Boy & His Dog); a newly created, janky-sounding robot (Chappie). The film looks pretty but can't escape its own unoriginality. Hanks does well as a defeated man trying to ensure his dog is taken care of; but approaching 2 hrs, the film's slow pace, drive-time soundtrack and lack of implication struggle to sustain interest. Jones' voice is annoying. Easy to watch, easier to forget.

Finch is an affecting tale of being human and finding companionship in tough times. Tom Hanks delivers yet another understated performance along with a charming Jeff, the robot. Some beautiful shots and authentic connection.

Underrated. Actually full of humor and Hanks just is so amazing :). Great post apocalyptic movie about a man and his dog

This was a fun, completely forgettable but decent post apocalyptic film. Hanks is good as always, the robots were fun, and what bad thing can you say about a sweet good boi?

Mildly entertaining, Finch ends up being more about "life's little moments" than about apocalypses, robots, or artificial intelligence etc. It is fairly bright and airy despite its subject matter, so makes for an easy weeknight viewing.

Tom Hanks was good and I liked the robot. In this dystopian future people are basically all but extinct. It has some heart. Wouldn't it be great to have such a high functioning robot like Jeff. To be honest the story is defeatist and weak. Also, arriving at a habitable zone simply made no sense. Ignoring the obvious flaws it was fun to watch and entertaining. However, lots of missed opportunities to be great. It really could have been much better. Forgettable but worthwhile.

If you ever wished Short Circuit was more about the fragility of life and the ceaseless march of time and mortality, boy, do I have a movie for you!

Fresh. Emotionally especial. By no means perfect, but the balance of all components depicted in the film, and associated with filmmaking in general, makes for a pleasant viewing.

Finch may be a "predictable" post-apocalyptic film with its plot, concept, and handling, which I admit it is. But sometimes it's the feelings that touch you. The emotional expressiveness of the story caught me quite a bit. I liked it so much that I did not realize how the time passed. Tom Hanks was amazing.

This film deals very much with isolation and a barren (once urban) environment. There's some quite poignant dialogue and Hanks shows his characters vulnerabilities well, even if not saying too much in certain moments. It is surprisingly moving at times. I thought the robot reminded me slightly of Wall-E from the Pixar film of the same name - his basic questions relating to/querying human emotion are quite touching. It is thoughtful and sobering...a decent film worth seeing if you can, yes.

Lazy Lockdown Production No26: Finch terminally dislocates the principle of 'show-don't-tell' at every beat. Possibly the worst thing Hanks has ever agreed to be in.

Tam bir "Pazar Sabahı Sineması" olan Tom Hanks başrollü Finch seyirciye tatlı, sıcak ve keyifli bir film sunuyor.

Hanks, the dog and the robot are just pure charisma, but it's just bad the movie can't escape the post-apocalyptic-wasteland-desertic kind of sci-fi template around them.

I found the first half to be quite enjoyable. The latter half was sentimentally underwhelming and lacked substance, so I had to watch it on fast forward to finish.

It's well-acted and a story relatively well-told. One warning: It appears to be sci-fi but is really fantasy. If you look at it from that perspective, it gains clarity but then ends in a way that is foreign to that genre. Thus the film has a bit of an identity crisis. That said, it's well worth a watch if you have AppleTV+ and/or are a Tom Hanks fan.

It's hard to argue with Tom Hanks, a dog and a robot wandering through post-apocalyptic America. There's nothing startlingly original here, but Hanks is really great and the dog is really cute and the robot is both funny and kind of poignant. It's an extremely entertaining little flick.

Among the best looking CGI I have ever seen, but the story was kind of boring and slow. Suitable for someone in their mid teens.

I enjoy Tom Hanks movies as well as fun robot movies like Short Circuit. This one nails quite a few things and does so w emotion w a good heaping of levity when needed. Very enjoyable. 8.4

The plot isn't much, but that isn't a deal breaker. Finch is human, well made, and heartfelt.

Clearly trying to recapture the spirit of cast-away, Finch (2021) is dumbed down at every turn. Any opportunity to make the story of dialogue a little cringe is taken. Overall, pretty terrible. Clearly targeted towards kids, but they forgot that even kids aren't totally stupid. Ending is very unsatisfying.
