This film is based on the true story of Giacomo "Jackie Dee" DiNorscio. After years of federal investigation, 20 members of the New Jersey Lucchese crime family are brought to court on 76 charges of various crimes. Already in the midst of serving a 30-year sentence, Jackie is offered an opportunity to shorten his time by testifying against many of his closest friends. But Jackie refuses to betray his "family," and goes so far as to defend himself in what will ultimately become the longest criminal trial of its time. (Freestyle Releasing)

Lumet tries to get us to root for the wrong people. The only lesson here is how ineffective our judicial system is, but Lumet wants us to cheer for the criminal because he's a lovable ethnic stereotype. And Vin Diesel is horrible in this movie. There's almost nothing here to recommend: a few of DiNorscio's remarks are amusing, but not laugh out loud funny. The courtroom drama is not dramatic at all, and the "bad guys" (the people trying to put criminals in prison) are ridiculously nasty.

It goes on too long -- perhaps inflicting the trial on us? -- and the irony is a bit heavy-handed, but I enjoyed myself. You can also play a 'Spot the HBO Actors' drinking game while watching it.

This movie got me feeling all weird, because it made me like the bad guys and hate the good guys. But at the same time it proves how the jury system can be quite ineffective - if you can win someone's heart, damned be the facts; one must not forget that this trial was very much real. It may not be Lumet's best movie, but it is a good one nonetheless. Oh, and Vin Diesel is actually a pretty good actor.

Diesel is the weakest link in this decent story that suffers from mediocre production values. Looks, smells and sounds like a made for tv movie.

Vin Diesel is almost unrecognizable, and does a decent job as well.

Nothing about this movie is that good, in fact it's quite easy to forget this film existing, much-less actually remembering the movie it's self. Forgettable doesn't mean it's all that bad though.

Not a terrible movie but it feels incredibly mediocre, as if all it's trying to be is a clichéd TV movie. Vin Diesel is at times very good, but his character is so annoying that it often feels more like he's joking around than acting. The overbearing music, the drab scenery, the interesting but very straight forwardly told story, the completely mismatched mood; All the elements make for a story you don't mind sitting through but completely forget about as soon as it's over.

I didn’t understand the hype with this one. It was so long and not funny that I couldn’t finish.

Diesel plays against type and gets to flex some acting muscle under the watchful eye of Lumet. His range is still fairly limited, but he shows reasonable skill as a stereotypical 'wiseguy' in this overlong old fashioned comic drama that probably would have been better received if it was released in the 90's shortly after My Cousin Vinny. It isn't as funny as that film, and it's very predictable. Has its moments though, and the dialogue is decently written.

Oh my god, gangsters are so cute and adorable! Fuck you government and leave these good people alone. Never seen such an immoral movie. The movie force you to love the bad guys without a shame.

To say nothing of there having here been tapped more of Vin Diesel's talent than any other movie in his entire career including the good and great ones, to put it as simply as can be done, this is a Sidney Lumet picture through and through and through. And it's as much a Sidney Lumet picture as the cream of his crop. And perhaps it just may be a part of that crop.

I consider myself a gagster more than a gangster too so this film spoke to me.

Flatly staged and lit actor's showcase with not much effort on Lumet's part. It looks like an overlong network crime procedural, and no attempt is made to depict the passage of time outside the captions saying how many days the trial has been going for; if it weren't for those, and some off-hand exposition, I would have assumed the whole movie takes place over the course of a week. Dinklage outdoes the top-billed star.

Feel bad for getting around to this one on this particular day, but yeah... no. Been a long time since I saw it, however from my memory of that viewing this score is generous. And Dinklage was so super-insufferable as always. Lumet was a boss, though.

Pretty interesting story, just not told in an especially interesting way. Notable mostly for being the movie where Vin Diesel delivers more lines of dialogue than punches, and also for being the movie in which he has the most hair, Find Me Guilty is only OK.

This film proved Vin Diesel is an actor. Overall I found myself rooting for the bad guys, the 'good' guys are generally unlikable.

Even though this was a mostly true story about a court case, I think it was fundamentally about DiNorscio, his personality, and how he managed to fit into a family he wasn't born into. And it's difficult to watch a mob dramedy without comparing it to the many other single-genre mob films we hold close to our hearts. Yet there's some great acting here, and notably in some smaller roles. I would have loved to have seen more of some of them, like Domenick Lombardozzi and Annabella Sciorra.

The movie is pretty long (and somewhat anti-climactic at the end), but it's a decent watch. Vin Diesel gives a more than serviceable performance (don't listen to haters), and really gets into the role.
