I bring nothing to the talking about Fist Fight table. It passed the time and there was a joke and a jape within.

This movie may be terrible, but with Charlie Day and Ice Cube, I honestly enjoyed it. Whatever.

Positives: Ice Cube everything, Charlie Day about half the time, and Tracy Morgan in pieces. Unfortunately, Cube and Day can't save this thing. The great cardinal sin that a comedy -- a straight-up, comedy-only comedy -- can commit, is not being funny. This movie isn't funny, for giant stretches at a time. At best, you have sprinklings of laughter throughout 90+ minutes. The Big Sean scene is the only truly funny sequence. That, the mariachi band playing the Rocky theme, and parts of the fight.

Remember how you liked It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia? Remember how Barbershop made you smile? Alright, now imagine watching Rob Schneider stand-up (sober) while a syphilitic Ice T blows second-hand crack smoke into your anal cavity. Okay, okay. That was too much. Nothing is as bad as experiencing Rob Schneider sober. Just imagine a syphilitic Ice T blowing second-hand crack smoke into your anal cavity. Are you there? Good. What was I talking about again?

Wasn't bad but it also wasn't great. So it's 50/50 for me. and why didn't he have time to explain clearly he did.

Bad comedies are a dime a dozen, but Fist Fight somehow manages to be even worse than the majority. None of the jokes land, the characters are all obnoxious idiots that don't even begin to resemble real people, it doesn't understand the word "subtlety," and, I mean, one of its recurring gags is that an adult wants to have sex with the students of the school. If that's your thing, well, there you go, I guess. The rest of you would do well to steer clear.

I'm generally very forgiving of any comedy that amuses me constantly even if it's not making me laugh a lot. This movie fits that mold perfectly. The story is absurd but that's mostly ok until they try to stick in a message at the end which the movie doesn't really earn in any way. Mostly it's the funny actors doing funny things that make it watchable.

It's about what you would expect. Charlie Day at his yelling, panicked best and Ice Cube with mean muggin' on. There are few laughs there but mostly from the pure stupidity of it all. It's not a comedy that will stand the test of time, but with a fairly straightforward plot and a few giggles along the way, it's not the worst thing you'll see.

There's a good message in here about school funding and whatnot, but it's not a good movie. A couple of the jokes actually worked for me but the rest of it was a slog. Doesn't help that none of the characters are interesting.

As a Charlie Day fan I had plenty of laughs watching what's got to be considered a weak film, so I don't regret my time here but I sure hope I never bother watching it again.

Maybe if "Fist Fight" enbraced it's stupidity, instead of looking for a message, there might have been more laughs.

Basically a re-imagining of Three O'Clock High (which was itself a re-imagining of High Noon) Besides the talent show, the laughs are few and far between. This is the new standard for Ice Cube, but Charlie Day is so much better than this.

Throughout this 91 minute run time, Fist Fight feels like a 20 min skit that was stretched longer than it need be. It's often bogged down by Day and Cube playing the same characters they do every movie, offering nothing new and instead tries to fill it with dull toilet humor and pointless sub plots that don't have a real meaning for being there. Along with this, wasting the potential of Morgan and Bell's side characters, relying on solely Cube and Day, and that just isn't enough to carry this.

This film takes a lame premise and does nothing with it. The cast try their best but the material just does not work. I laughed once during this film. Skip this one and watch something better.

More inspired (and interesting) than reception would indicate. Some stylistic debt owed the Jump Streets, but Lord & Miller's social responsibility is gone, the film instead embracing an amorality that sees each plot thread resolved in deliberate transgression of social and sexual mores, all occurring against the backdrop of a surreal assault on multiple levels of institutional authority and its impotent gatekeepers. More than occasionally strained, more than occasionally hilarious.

Andy Campbell (Charlie Day) is a laid-back English teacher who tries to make friends with everyone. History teacher Ron Strickland (Ice Cube), however, is of a completely different caliber. Results orientation is of paramount importance and his motto is: "I don't have to be liked, I have to teach." When Andy accidentally gets Ron fired on the last hectic day at school, he challenges him to a fight in the parking lot.

Really squanders a talented cast with the poor writing. While the plot itself could work for fun stuff, the dialogue is just so... unfunny. Doesn't help that Charlie Day and Ice Cube work off each other wonderfully, but the lines feel all too written and they just don't make you laugh. It had a few funny things, but the parts that made me laugh the most were actually the bloopers at the end credits.
