Fun, Lieh Lo is a great villain (the death palm is a neat trick), though I did get a little tired of watching Gordon Liu trying to claw out his balls - we get it! He can retract them! Chill out with the ball clawing, man.

Lo Lieh is the head of the evil Lotus clan, who is trying to wipe out Shaolin. Gordon Liu is part of the Shaolin clan whose fiance and best friend are killed by the Lotus clan, so he trains in diverse kung fu styles for revenge. Typical stuff, but Liu and Lieh are both in top form, and it has sexy Kara Hui playing the widow of his best friend who helps him train. This is essentially a remake/sequel to the earlier Executioners from Shaolin; it's a less serious movie, but has better choreography.

Has everything you'd expect, right up to the obligatory ludicrous finale. A definite highlight for me is when Kara Hui teaches Gordon Liu to fight like a girl.

The fights overall were pretty good and the story isn't bad either but the training montages were dull and none of the comedy worked. As and maybe the thing that lowered my rating the most was the fact that the final fight was pretty disappointing.

Bland and repetitive with dated choreography. Watched this drunk with friends and still got bored halfway through.

Great choreographed action scenes (no wonder since the action was shot by Chia-Liang Liu), Gordon Lu and above all Lieh Lo as the titular White Lotus make this a formidable martial arts movie. Fighting with the ease of taking an evening stroll and his constant sarcastisch taunts make White Lotus one of the best villains in the genre. The plot is very standard and repetitive. One can read a comment in a hero that has to change his masculine fighting skill into a feminine one.

Lieh Lo as one of the greatest on-screen villains (Priest White Lotus) of kung fu cinema and Gordon Liu being, well, Gordon Liu make this one of the better genre films to come out of that decade. This is a semi-sequel to 1977's "Executioners From Shaolin".

Super cheesy movie with only a few moments of convincing fighting amidst a mountain of badly choreographed rubbish. I especially disliked the tedious group fights, match ups with swords, crotch grabs, and horrific sound effects. But, it does have a few amusing moments. The White Lotus pin cushion ending was different and consistent with the rest of the insanity. A good martial arts movie to make fun of, but don't expect to find satisfying Kung Fu fighting.
