Five Corners

This is a tonal mess. Whatever Tony Bill and Shanley were going for with some of the B plots do not mesh well with the BIG performance from Turturro at the center of this 60s New York piece. Jodie Foster is one year shy of her incredible late 80s and early 90s run, but her character is so barely there that she has nothing to do but cling to the men around her.

Tonally everywhere, from the poster (that honestly goes hard) to the indecisive nature of whether this is a hard and heavy story of John Turturro terrorising a neighborhood or a hangout film with a bunch of goofballs
