Here is a piece of 1930s pop-culture. The Dionne Quintuplets. When born in 1934 they were the first known set of quintuplets to survive birth and a big sensation. The 5 girls are just filmed playing around with Jean Hersholt and shown in awkward long documentary type scenes forced in there with an fictional news reporter story featuring Cesar Romero & Claire Trevor. In other words, they are there as a freak show element. A gimmick to sell a meaningless movie. And the result is really bizarre.
