Dry and soul-less... All style and no substance... Demi was all wrong for this one...

I really enjoyed it - great acting - good suspensful story

I had passed by this one many times but finally gave it a chance. Much better than I expected. A heist movie, set in 1960 London and involving the world of diamonds. Nice to see Demi Moore and Michael Caine again too.

Slightly boring, but watchable if you would somehow not be able to watch any other movie.

Decent heist movie with quite predictable story.

Needless setting of present day when the film should just start in 1960 or whenever this takes place. The whole flashback device is overused, ineffective and annoying in modern film, from this one to Titanic to Saving Private Ryan. Just useless and dumb. Still, this is an above average heist movie, though not a particularly good film overall. Michael Caine saves the script from sucking as hard as it might have.

Too bad Caine had to carry it alone. Intriguing, but unsatisfying.

One of the very few times I've slept through a movie. I guess it's OK if you can get into it, but I see little reason to bother with this film.

Good little heist movie. Michael Caine continues to be a mark of quality in his elder years, guy can't put a foot wrong recently

Not bad.

It tries to be an engaging, period heist piece. And I think both Caine and Moore do their best to pull the movie along. However, it just doesn't quite work. I never did figure out who some of the other characters were, and I'm the type who likes complex plots. They also dragged out the suspenseful payoff too long, to the point where you start yelling "Get on with it!" at the screen.

Unlike Ocean's Thirteen, this formulaic heist movie has a streak of psychological perversity.

Some good boardroom drama in an otherwise pedestrian period heist film.

Pretty dumb. The solution in the end (which you would see coming from miles away if you did not sleep through half of it) would never actually work. It seems as if they did not think it through in the process of making the movie. Perhaps nothing in this film was thought through. The whole thing feels half-arsed, really.

Not as cut and dry as the summary would have you believe. Can't believe I missed this in the theaters.

Fun heist movie. Pretty good performances all around and a surprisingly great performance from Demi Moore. Recommended for those who appreciate a good Christie-type mystery/drama.
