Hipster movie. Style over, very little, substance. Pretentious silence mixed with a romantic and false image of childhood. Looks good, but not good enough to keep me interested. Blanca Engström is fucking brilliant and a future star, but watch "A Swedish Love Story" instead.

I really don't know what the filmmaker's were striving for because we mostly follow this girl, Blanca Engström in a bland and unconvincing performance, around doing stuff.They gave me no reason to connect with this girl, the situation she was in or even care what happens to her at all.In the end I found this to a largely bleak and empty picture that I was glad when it ended.

A beautifully crafted story of a young girl, who is left alone in the summer of 1981 when her parents travel to Africa and her aunt disappears. What follows is a delicate, often agonizing emotional journey through the days before her parent's return. When the routine of everyday life fades, what is left is the harrowing stillness of the Swedish countryside.
