Flooding with Love for the Kid
Meticulously adapted from David Morrell's novel First Blood, shot entirely for $96 in a 220 square foot studio apartment in Manhattan, adapted, directed, filmed, acted, designed, and edited by filmmaker Zachary Oberzan, performing all two dozen characters himself, the monumental, transgressive FLOODING WITH LOVE FOR THE KID is a testament to animal ingenuity and triumphant spirit. This film and its maker embrace their harsh limitations, and in doing so, ultimately transcend them.

"Oberzan is mostly successful in revitalizing the dime-store psychology and blood n' guts of First Blood through storytelling as childlike play." - Bill Weber
