Paul Mescal makes for a very entertaining American farmer, he's got it down pat.

What did we learn from Foe? I guess if you put actors I like, in a movie I like stylistically it's hard for me to not like the film. Yeah, it's flawed. It can be a little slow at times, and I don't think I understood everything it was trying to convey, but overall I just liked it, and had a mostly good time watching it. A lot of people will absolutely hate this, but I think it has something to offer those just willing to sort of go with it.

Une moyenne pour les deux acteurs principaux que j'adore, bien filmés, mais largués dans une intrigue très prévisible et qui n'aboutie sur rien. C'est très long.

Mescal and Ronan are two of the best actors of this generation, and the central conceit is interesting. Too bad it's all wasted on pedestrian, boring melodrama.

Was pretty good until the reveal and it started to lose coherence.

This movie might be the biggest disappointment of the year. Even the excellent performances of Saoirse Ronan and Paul Mescal can't save this script. Garth Davis may have made the most uninteresting, most boring film about artificial intelligence. Apart from a few emotional scenes, Foe is nothing more than a hollow example of melodrama.
