Fool for Love

Very strange and offbeat drama becomes increasingly more compelling the stranger that it gets, thanks in no small part to Shepherd and (especially) Basinger's electric performances, and Altman's inventive direction. In support, Stanton proves he only needs to show up in order to be indispensable!

Gets weirder as it goes on, throwing in the kind of hallucinatory images that made up Jimmy Dean, Jimmy Dean, but does so in a manner that's harder to understand. Great performances from the entire cast.

Altman's always worth watching, although this is pretty interminable for the first act or so. The third act is really good, but it dies in the last minute or so. The music is bizarre and inappropriate, and the DVD transfer is one of the worst I've ever seen.

This film has a good performance from Kim Bassinger. Unfortunately the characters are unlikable and the story drags and goes on forever. By the end of the film I had totally lost interest in all the characters. Overall this film is disappointing.

Another anti-genre and avant-garde Film from one of the most important Independent American Director!!!
