A strange little thriller with an extremely unreliable narrator. It's very slow paced, which is not a bad thing in this case - it conveys a mixture of psychosis and dreams - but pays off in a good way. Stylish, minimalist cinematography is soothing, English dubbing is crap.

The atmosphere was absolutely fantastic, and the mesmerizing scenes from Turkey were unforgettable. Crafted using tools from the 70s, it achieves a distinct and unparalleled ambiance. The supposed resolution is a bit anticlimactic because the mystery surrounding it begs for an extraordinary explanation.

I really like this one even if it's more art flick than horror movie. Florinda Bolkan is fantastic.

Nice amnesia movie that reminded me a bit of Gaslight (in the protagonist's reactions) and Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. She forgets a traumatic event and comes back to her lover. I liked the astronauts angle a lot. The movie takes a bit of time to warm up since the first 1/3 was mostly uneventful. Well shot and it's always good to incorporate mysterious children. Fav scene: Light shining through stained glass while having sex.

This certainly has a compelling premise, but the execution is a mixed bag. The protagonist's behavior in the wake of discovering her own amnesia is repeatedly rigid and defensive to a bizarre extent, often working to tread water instead of advancing the plot. Ultimately the script does manage to justify this rigidity, by establishing who she really is in the final act, but getting there is often frustrating.

Atmospheric and intriguing with good music & cinematography. Interesting to see a giallo that abandons excessive bloodletting & fast-paced plot in favour of a very slow & hypnotic mystery narrative. It's a film that doesn't seem to go anywhere but steadily sink into the mind of its highly unstable protagonist. It kinda fails to pay off in a truly satisfying way being all kinda predictable & potentially anesthetic. Stylish & subtly surreal out there oddity that's delightful in the right mood.

The Jeanne Dielmann of giallo. Very slow, very atmospheric and dreadful. Probably its handsomest protagonist. A good reminder that giallo doesn't necessarily mean scratchy voiced killers and gore, and can also include weird mysteries.

While not your typical giallo, Footprints on the Moon is surprisingly enjoyable to watch thanks to the music, cinematography, and overall atmosphere.

Quite atmospheric and thematically interesting work of quasi-giallo. The acting is surprisingly very good, as is the camerawork and music. The slow build up doesn't really pay off enough at the end, I felt.
