I see this as Godard's way of questioning his own worth as a filmmaker. I mean, I don't think of Godard as humble, but, in For Ever Mozart, he seems to struggle with the public's perception of his own work. Maybe he wishes that this movie was a bit more like Terminator 4. It's hard to say how the film's epilogue, about a man performing Mozart pieces, fits into all of this, but it ends the film on an appropriately somber note. The pages keep turning as the credits roll

Out of the handful of Godard films I've seen, this is definitely my least favorite. Though there are moments of beauty, For Ever Mozart is too disconnected from any sort of empathy to work for, or even engage, me. There is a yearning for change, but this, too, is subtle, if it exists at all within the film's self imposed Moebius strip history lesson.

Grief, colonization, the limits and problems of white leftism - all confronted in maybe Godard's most dense work. It looks really amazing too.
