Felt the start was weak and ruined a lot of it for me. It's actor Paul Henreid trying his hands on directing, having to learn his craft. But it's a solid 3rd act that saves it. That's when the scheming really takes shape and pressure on. That's when it felt like a competent movie, much helped by a flirting Kathleen Hughes and nasty college people.
