Forbidden World

Situated somewhere between a flash-forward showing several forthcoming sex scenes and a flashback showing several previous sex scenes, there are a bunch of sex scenes followed by the following (albeit slightly paraphrased) conversation: A) "Hey guys! I know how to kill the mutant that's melted half our crew down into funberry jell-o!" B) "Sure, but let me fix our comms first by crawling into this tiny hole here behind the mutant that's melted half our crew into funberry jell-o."

On a scale of 1 to the last 30 minutes of 2001: A Space Odyssey I give this movie a 2.5

Schlock 80s monster movie-curio. The creators have seen Alien and The Thing and want to riff on them, but much like the rest of the movie-making world, they hadn't yet taken on board just how far those films pushed things forward. What remains is an occasionally inventive, cheeseball throwback to the pre-blockbuster era then rapidly receding into distant memory. The cast seem like they are having fun and there's enough weirdo stuff going on that it's fun to watch too (rapid-fire editing aside).

So much shit, but tolerable shit. Stuffed with an awful female scream, shitty camera work and the alien's language is 80's synth music! That is pretty fucking awesome if you think about it. Think of this; you go to this alien party, you can hear terrible loud music outside coming from the house. You walk in and all your friends talk with 80's synth music, blasting you away with the decibels they produce. Awesome

Really bad.

Oh my God, this was hilarious. Every other scene seemed to have a mirror in the background and the editor went nuts with making all these artsy fartsy cuts, it's so weird and out of place for this kind of movie. The music composer went APESHIT with this thing and the cameraman went nuts with Vaseline. The two hot female scientists have showers together! Yeah, movie magic!

Cheap ass Aliens knockoff produced by Roger Corman. You only ever get the briefest of glimpses of the creature, it's like a huge armored spider with long, needle like teeth, but it looks really fake and cheesy. And of course a couple of the genetic researchers are hot chicks who get naked and scream a lot. Pretty crappy, but only about 70 minutes long so it's got a minimum of chitchat between all the gooey action.

Not even remotely good but still not the worst Alien rip-off I've ever seen.

Alien rip off that's almost as entertaining as original. Of course it's much cheaper and cheesy at times, but if you're into b-movies you'll love this.

Somehow, this cheesy (and gratuitously sexual) sci-fi thriller was totally watchable. It's actually like a 1950s B Sci-Fi movie (just R-rated).

The best of the Alien ripoffs by this particular director. Truly terrible, but only if you're expecting something good. Otherwise fun. Don't let the poster fool you btw. You'll get space action, nudity, etc, but no ladies chained to rocks. Sorry.

It's a little bit Alien, maybe a little bit The Thing... It's watchable, but never really outstanding. A big problem is that they keep the monster in the dark so much, and so many other important scenes are all in really dark rooms, that it just becomes hard to watch... literally.

Most Alien ripoffs aren't gracious enough to give us tons of nudity, totally insane and spasmodic montage editing, and super-cheesy electronic music. I'm a fan.

By no means this is a good movie in a conventional way - it's as exploitative as it gets, with all the elements like bad acting, unoriginal story and too much nudity. Did I enjoy it? Hell yes! Even the production values are higher than usual Corman flick. Perfect film for those friday night when you just want something to go with cheap drugs and junk food.

Amazingly good if you do not take it seriously.

Trashy, gory Alien rip-off from the Corman factory with added nudity and horrible editing. Admirably brazen in its unorigiality and general shittyness, this is the kind of stuff that should go over well with connoisseurs of crap.
