Frankie and Johnny

not bad at all for an almost completely forgotten elvis flick. the music has much more diversity than most elvis movies, including rock 'n roll, blues, and new orleans style jazz--the jazz is surprisingly good. the story here is a bit on the hokey side, but that's to be forgiven considering it's superiority to the majority of elvis vehicles.

The worst possible film choice for Suicide Prevention Day.

Mediocre Elvis vehicle - a daft story but fairly colourful and fun.

Thought the film started out decently, but the love triangle thing was annoying. The opening song was good, but the other songs were either nothing to write home about, or were pretty dumb. Unrelated, but I think they recycled the "Frankie and Johnny" song number footage for the reprise towards the end (i.e. same angles)
