Horrible Aunt Messina longs for total power, so she kills her brother the King and transforms Prince Frederick into a frog; now she can rule the kingdom any way she pleases. Although the Prince at first does nothing but sit on a lilypad, he soon befriends various sea creatures who teach him the ways of the swamps.
