Friended to Death

There's a good satirical film to be made with this subject matter, but they've failed horribly. They play the main character way too over the top to the point of just plain dumb (as in not funny in the least), and every one else is played that way. Whatever good gags there are, and there may be one or two, are buried in all the crap. The movie tries way too hard to be funny and quirky, with a tacked on feel-good ending. Had they toned down the main character it coulda had heart and humor.
