After 20 years of writing for The Balance, Asaph has become a conservative shadow of his former self. When his ex-college chum visits Asaph, he cannot believe the change. So Ace decides to go out and has Beulah get a girl for Rixey. After making the rounds of the clubs, mousey Asaph becomes a Lion, taking charge of every situation and even stands up to Brumbaugh, his old stodgy womanizing editor. (imdb)

Charles Ruggles has been tamed by work life after finishing his wild college years, and a visit from his old school chum Eugene Pallette sets gears into motion for the dull editor. Ruggles even gets a desirable leading lady in his secretary Ann Dvorak! A very fun film where Ruggles put his hesitant screen persona to good use, with some more brute characters surrounding him forcing him to toughen his game.
