Herzog's knack for capturing an emotional reaction from his interviewee is in full effect. This is some sad shit. Everybody should watch this. I read that it's being distributed to 40,000 high schools. This isn't one of those cheesy PSA type videos that my school used to make us watch. This is the real deal, and I imagine all but the incredibly stubborn will be convinced by it

Viewed August 16, 2016. Generally, the high point of Werner Herzog's documentaries is the presence of Herzog himself, but this one wisely removes him from the equation, choosing instead to focus on the stories of the victims of texting and driving. It's harrowing material handled gracefully, with glimmers of Herzog's striking visual style. It has to be one of the best PSAs ever made; the rare PSA that could be shown in a classroom and be taken seriously.

Pretty much the perfect road safety ad. It makes you feel like complete shit. That's a good thing. Just depressing, well shot, nothing new for such a legendary director.

In the now typical Herzog fashion, it presents us with a real and tangible issue while at the same time transcending it and reaching for some fundamental human themes. It's so rare to see these kinds of films done with both vision and dignity. Herzog seems to have an almost uncanny ability to bring out the soul of his interviewees.

A testament to Herzog's genius. He can even turn a PSA into a trascendental study of life, death and forgiveness (to oneself and to others).

Short but very effective drama showing the devastating effects of texting and driving.

Pretty much a straightforward road safety documentary.

Short and pretty much self-explanatory but still necessary and at times, heartbreaking. Texting and driving is practically impossible to control so we need to reach out to the sociopath in the steel cage to make the difference.

Really touching. There's no Herzog narration or irony in this, and he wisely lets the victims (and victimizers, though some don't stay that way) have their own independent voice.

Needed Herzog narrating. "These harbingers of ..."

There is an underlying eeriness that is uniquely Herzog.
