Imagine se Robocop fosse um Yakuza! Melhor ainda, imagine se ele fosse um Yakuza medroso! Essa é a premissa dessa comédia de Takashi Miike, delirei de rir com as técnicas de "desvios laterais" do Robokuza de Miike! Altamente recomendável...

Miike shoves his typical yakuza madness into a blender with Robocop and comes up with this freakfest. Check it out.

It's got the right stuff, but tanks it by being overly dramatic. If Miike stuck with the action and trimmed the so called soul searching it'd be a more solid feature.

It's not exactly "Robocop."

Full Metal Yakuza is simultaneously a campy low-budget Robocop Rip-off done with gangsters and an exercise in a mild form of extreme Japanese cinema. Takeshi Mike does his trademark extreme blood spatters, and includes lots of head chopping, gun fighting, and a torture-rape-suicide scene thrown in for good measure. You won't get any big picture thoughts out of this flick, but you might want to tune in for the crazy action and visuals.

Guns, tattoos and yakuzas abound. One of my favorite guilty pleasures.
