An incredibly bad film and an even worse adaptation. Characterless, uninteresting, and unclear. The costumes look like unworn convention attire, the settings are lifeless, the effects are mid 00s cheap, and the story is flaccid. Truly inspiring. Please don't watch this.

It is a huge problem with manga's screenings and as long as the creators do not introduce something new and fresh, this problem will remain and will be a flaw in the theoretically good product. Once again, there will be fans of the original who will reproach the production of excessive patheticism, shortening the threads and smothering the visual extravagance (which was in intention) through the pathetic CGI.

A live action cliffnotes version of the story that does a competent job but nothing more. Even though I feel that they did a decent job the drama of the film didn't grab me the same way the 2 anime series did. This is definitely not for people that don't know the story.

A live action adaptation of the popular anime, this wasn't very good. It squeezes a lot of story in, but leaves out a lot and I think if you weren't familiar with the anime it would be very hard to follow. Its ok for what it is, but at most its a curiosity for fans of the series, I wouldn't recommend it to someone not familiar with the source material.
