As far as Jim Carrey movies go, I don't think I've laughed so hard since "The Number 23".

Mostly unfunny and disjointed with some phony social commentary that seems to mask a rather annoying attitude towards poverty and class. Carrey in this role has unique potential to channel some dark frustration and manic rage that could evelate the whole concept but the writers aren't interested in any of that and he just phones in another tiresome performance.

Not uproarious as the ads sell, and not as much robbing as was anticipated. But Alec Baldwin's always fun and I like Jim Carrey's haircut.

A fun return to form from Carrey, coupled with a suprisingly funny Tea Leoni. Not as crazy and hilarious as Ace Ventura, but not as boring as Me Myself and Irene.

wow! this is one dark movie. It doesn't let up till the very end. I gave this an elevated score because it paints a vivid picture of this time in American history.

A fairly amusing little comedy... Carrey and Baldwin do what they can, a few beats are clever. I had no idea it was an Enron satire until I watched it, which was an interesting surprise.

I watched this when I was hospitalized for a solid two weeks, and it was one of the only movies I ended up getting to watch. Starved of entertainment and needing some sort of laugh, this really hit the spot. Recently saw some of it again, and while I still thought the duo of Carrey and Leoni (who is so fucking hot) was pretty good, the jokes didn't quite hit the same note the second time around.

This is called Fun with Dick and Jane, but it could have been called Bland with Bland and Blandette. There were some laughs yes, but overall I felt more disappointed that it wasn't better because it really could have been.

I only watched this a couple of days ago and am already struggling to remember a single scene. It can't be blamed for not trying - keeping things fast-moving and light-hearted throughout - but with writing this poor, deciding to sacrifice plot for lame set pieces means it's one nobody needs to see. Surprised to see Carrey has a producing credit here, particularly as he seems to be sleeping through this payday.

The story is quite unrealistic, but considering its themes (the suburban and corporate aspects of the American Dream), its extreme highs and lows make it feel more like an appreciably goofy satire than a desperate low-grade comedy. With a good amount of rambunctious plot-based humour (see Dick's illegal immigration and lawn stealing) and a fun go-for-broke premise, this is a decent film, even though it lacks any real character development or narrative depth.

A criminally-underrated Jim Carrey gem, I consider Fun with Dick and Jane to be one of Jim Carrey's absolute best comedies, as the humor is able to grow, fester, and develop organically as opposed to just being thrown in your face, which is what you'd typically see with comedies these days. It's also really smart, as it's slightly meta, a general spoof off of what actually happened with Enron. Jim Carrey is PERFECT for this kind of role, and his chemistry with everyone? Perfect.

Totally underrated Jim Carrey movie. It seems like it may be mostly unknown. Somehow this wasn't even released on Blu-ray, which I find shocking. Jim Carrey and Judd Apatow. It's an interesting combination for sure, but it works really well, and despite being 15 years old, the movie still holds up really well. If you're a fan of Jim Carrey and haven't seen this, definitely check it out.

Hm... I'm not too sure where I sit with this one. My 60-ranking is for films that you could see once and never have the urge to see again... and 70's are just generally decent films. If I wanted to make another category between them, this would probably go in it but I won't bother. You'll have to decide for yourself on this one, but I'm going for a 65.

A few laughs here and there (one scene in particular had me rolling on the floor, laughing) but overall, nothing really remarkable. I feel like Jim Carrey and Tea Leoni are horribly typecast- the former playing the man who has everything, but loses it due to his overzealous ambition and experiences a rather *ungraceful* fall from grace. Leoni is seen here as the wife and mother who just can't cut it as the perfect version of either. The first two thirds and the last almost feel like two films.

Jim Carrey back to his old unfunny, over-acting, face contorting, excrutiatingly annoying ways. You'd think after making fantastic films like The Truman Show, Eternal Sunshine and Man On The Moon, he'd found his niche, maybe he was short of cash. Best avoided, unless you liked The Mask.

This is ridiculous, but gleefully so, and its airy tone proved an amiable respite to all the more serious, demanding cinematic fare out there during the end-of-the-year award season. This isn't the pinnacle of comedy, to be sure but there is a sense of joy in the performances that is infectious to behold. This movie is a turn-your-brain-off-at-the-door movie, but there is a place for that when it is done well and avoids pandering to the lowest common denominator. This one doesn't.

I thought this was going to be a comedy and crime movie, but actually it's neither. There is only one funny scene in the film, and the crime parts are just pitiful. The characters aren't really believable either, and their decisions are just bizarre. For some reason the producers decided to just throw away Jim Carrey's talent for comedy and bore the audience with trite social commentary. Take that!, crooked CEOs!
