Eh. I dig Futurama (especially the early seasons) but this disappoints. It's funny occasionally, but most of the time it's just very, very muddled and suffers from wackiness-overkill. Someone should remind the writers that a really tangled-up, cliche-overloaded and barely coherent plot does not equal funny. I don't see what's wrong with writing a more straightforward and less tacky story-arc and maybe putting in MORE JOKES. Jokes. You know, that THING that makes people LAUGH?

I don't really have much to say about this. It isn't fantastic, but it's funny and pretty clever. I like it. Okay, I'll say one thing: the songs were terrible. There were two of them and they were both terrible. Most of the songs on the TV show were pretty good too, so that was kind of a bummer.

Although at times this feels like "Futurama's Greatest Hits" as they try to stuff in every character from the series, it's still nice to have Futurama back in any form. Loads of good jokes (including plenty of freeze-frame gags) and an ending that leaves interesting possibilities for the next movie/batch of episodes. It does seem to drag a little in spots, though, and feels like it ought to be more satisfying. I also feel like Groening & company rely far too much on campy musical sequences.

Great. While not the very best the series has produced, it certainly is up there. Some good jokes, but this is more of an emotional episode. Just to get things clear, rather than taking this as a full-blown movie, I'd recommend it to be viewed as a feature length episode. I'd also recommend watching the Futurama TV series before watching this, there are so many references to past episodes you'd miss out on a lot otherwise as it fills in many gaps in the plotline previously left open ended.

It's a big send-up of Futurama with so many callbacks to previous moments and oversaturation of fanservice that you have to be a fan to really enjoy this film. The pacing is really off due to the film becoming split into TV episodes.

somehow it just doesn't have the same stuff that we were used to in the show, but it does prove to be a very entertaining movie. watching futurama again makes me realise that i really want the SHOW back, these movies are a poor substitute for weekly half-hour entertainment. but hey it's futurama i'll take what i can get.

As a big fan who owns all Futurama DVDs I was somewhat disappointed. Sure, all the characters are there - actually, the movie seems crammed with them just for the sake of deja vus - but the plot is convoluted and aimless, the jokes are mostly lame and even the musical numbers never reach the excellence of the series (no "Robot Hell" or "Hermes Groove" here). And yes, we've had just about enough Al Gore "Aiiiieeeeee"s now. If it weren't for the occasional funny bit, the movie would be a disaster.

This film was 85 minutes long, but it was more like, 185. It had a lot of endings, and it went on forever. I just heard that this film was 4 episodes combined together -- Why do that? (I wonder why it was awkward to sit through) Though this film did have funny scenes, and I liked the twist. They should really make a theatrical film rather than episodes stuck together.

The funniest damned thing I've seen in a looooooooooooooong time. They're back baby. Yeah, the first 5 minutes is basically about not being cancelled and how stupid Fox is (and there's a running gag that's also an MST3K nod, Torgo's) and it can be a bit all over the place but that's Futurama for you. Watch this NOW, ya jerks.

The first half is nothing but fan service, but once it finds a plot there's a few decent and original laughs. Literally, a few. The series had a few lesser episodes but I don't remember an episode ever having dozens of moments that were outright unfunny. And to back up another review, the songs here were just terrible in every measurable way.

Although the show itself can be a little hit and miss, "Big Score" manages to take all the shows finest elements and cram them into a feature length gem. Aside from being geniunely very funny, there are some great moments of sci-fi here too.

Uneven and messy, but at the same time a joyous long-awaited revival of the tragically cancelled series. The time-travel plotline makes for some funny (albeit growingly hard-to-follow) entanglements and time spend with the Planet Express crew is never wasted.

How in Satan's Glorious Name did they pull off plot structure from Godfather 2, Back to the Future Time Travel madness, commentary on the current depression (!!), and ripping Fox execs a new asshole into a plot that would be considered a great sci-fi novella if not for moments of fan service wanking? Don't care. The moments of genuine emotion and series' standard schizophrenic humor made up for its few stumbles.

An enjoyable film with numerous references to pop-culture and the the show itself. Overall, a good balance of emotion and humour. The scammer aliens are a little gross, but doesn't detract too much from the awesomeness that is Futurama.

Not bad, but not great. A lot of the humour is still there, and the time-travelling story pokes fun at other media that tries to do convuluted time travel. Even as a fan however, I realise they tried to include too much fan-service in here. Too much of the film is filled with callbacks to past shows and characters, which detracts from the main story. Then again, who else but fans were going to be watching this?

A pretty solid cinematic continuation of Futurama, though nothing that measures up to the best of the show's original run (i.e. nothing that measures up to some of the best TV comedy ever). Still, it spreads strong moments out for Fry, Leela, Bender and even Hermes, has fun and clever time-travel shenanigans, a cool final space battle, and amusing villains in the alien nudists.

An awkward rejuvenation for this brilliant, yet repeatedly canned TV show. Although the story and the sentimental moments are of the usual Futurama quality, it's the humour here that has taken a nose-dive -- a decent amount of it feels cringe-worthy or self-congratulatory, with only more chuckles than actual laughs. A disappointing return that gets more disappointing each time I watch it.

This movie marks the first time that I've ever been bored watching Futurama. It is basically a 22 minute episode stretched to 89 minutes, with far fewer laughs than any random episode of the first four seasons. Sometimes it feels like it tries way too hard to be funny, other times not hard enough, and rarely is it successful. The plot is a contrived, nonsensical mess consisting of fanservice, flashbacks and lame songs. A quite underwhelming comeback for one of the greatest TV comedy series ever.

Seen: 2. It's Futurama, of course I liked it. It has humor and heart, and plays off of time travel paradoxes beautifully. But it does feel like a few episode ideas massaged together, and it doesn't stand out as anything more than a good, extended episode. In the end, there is nothing wrong with that.
