It's kind of depressing how Ainouz turned into this kind of contemporary fake auteur, whose first and main interest is to forge an ART FILM. This is a film that is always looking for the nicest image, the perfect shot, but never for its characters. Each segment seems like a rip off of better directors -- like Claire Denis and Christian Petzold -- in a catalogue of bland situations beautifully shot. The train scene is one of the few segments that truly matters.
