G.I. Joe: The Movie

Nemesis Enforcer was a badass, but Sgt. Slaughter showed him what a puke he truly was. Yo Joe. P. S., if you aren't moved to near blubbering little boy tears when Duke gets hit with the snake staff, you are most likely blind, retarded, or female.

Cobra-la-la-la-la-la-la!!! And the opening theme is simply timeless. I'd be so much cooler if I spoke in continuously rhyming couplets like Roadblock.

As a big fan of the comics this movies was a huge disappointment.

Be damned if this didn't score huge nostalgia points for memories of Saturday morning cartoons - this is almost touching in its ultra earnest (some may say sinister) pro-military stance and down-the-line storytelling; enjoyable enough, with Johnson and Meredith standing out from the roster of otherwise perfunctory voice work. Probably completely alien to anyone who didn't eagerly plough through those Saturday morning cartoons in the 80s, but a surprising amount of fun for what it is.

I never fully embraced the idea of GI Joe's fighting snake aliens but it's still pretty fun. It's certainly not good. and it's not for anyone who didn't like this series as a kid but I didn't ever find it boring (unlike Transformers The Movie).

Soft spot for this one, although it doesn't really deserve the rating. It is still superior to the live action flick.

Ignoring it's military theme and the characters available they made a senseless cacophony of snakes and explosions, what a waste.

Once you get past the nostalgia, this is an average movie. Although, the nostalgia factors does, at least, warrant a re-viewing.

The last truly great cartoon got its own movie treatment before the "GOT TO GET TOUGH! YO JOE!" movement. It was kept out of theaters because of the non-success in the box office by Transformers. But man, this movie is awesome-tastic.

Pretty good when I was a kid. It's better than the atrocious live action movie which says a lot. Can't say that it would hold up today but the nostalgia factor for this is overwhelming.

As bad as the Rambo cartoon

Only watch this with the Transformers Movie cartoon....perfect 80s bookend.

Very Good movie. I liked this as a kid I re watched this so many times. Basically Cobra wanted a new leader so they got rid of Cobra Commander and turned him into a snake. Movie is about Gi Joe making this deadly weapon that Cobra goes ahead and steals while GI Joe has to fight them to get their weapon back.

Nostalgia++

G.I. JOE: THE MOVIE, you had me at "ancient race of reptilians emerges to pose the Joes' biggest threat to date." While never quite rising to the heights of its TRANSFORMERS contemporary, it's still a fun, kitschy, fast-paced celebration of the generalissimo of '80s action cartoons.

i love gi joe, but i'm not a huge fan of the cobra-la thing. BUT IT HAS DON JOHNSON!!!!
