It's a sex comedy take on "Alien" and "Star Wars". WIthout sex. Or comedy.

Witless is a good way 2 describe this film. Only very young children would find these "jokes" amusing & since there r plenty of curse words, it's unclear who this R-rated film is 4. A profoundly lazy & sloppy attempt 2 cash in on the Star Wars craze, the only thing worth looking at is Stratten, who's as stunning as u've heard. Not so much a film as it is a series of barely connected sub-Mad magazine level "parodies" of popular-at-the-time scenes. Doesn't even work on the so-bad it's-good level.

It is neither sexy, nor funny. I was in fact more interested in reading about the tragic life and death of Dorothy Stratten - the main female playmate lead - who was murdered soon after the filming process completed, than in watching the film. Forgettable, ugly dreary sets, poor lightning, poor infantile jokes, non-existent plot. The only redeeming qualities that the film has are its posters who are as appealing as any B-movie posters and two half-decent jokes in the film. Forgettable.

This is definitely one of those so good its terrible movies. There are several types of thee movies and some work but when people set out to make a terrible piece of shit I rarely find it amusing.

Galaxina estreava há 40 anos. É claro que se você vai assistir uma comédia (ou qualquer filme de gênero) da virada dos anos 70 e 80 certamente encontrará um sexismo indigesto e aqui não é diferente, mas como pastiche/paródia de space operas ele consegue ser divertido, mais ainda do que o mais famoso daquela década: o Spaceballs do Mel Brooks, ao qual revi alguns anos atrás e não sobreviveu a uma revisão mais amadurecida. It tries to be Spaceballs seven years before Spaceballs existed, but unfortunately it does a much worse job. What saves it from being a total dud, though, is that everybody involved is in on the joke the entire time & know exactly what they're making. Dorothy Stratten is alright in the title role, though she's far from the main character & doesn't really get much to do, which was a shame. The rest of the cast is fine, & Avery Schreiber shines. It's dumb B-movie schlock, but has a few moments.

Surprisingly technically well-made, but the plot is terrible and the end result is incredibly boring.
